Our first Craft Beer: No. 17 Golden Ale
A medium-bodied Golden Ale offering a subtle malt flavour and bitterness with
a surprisingly refreshing tropical fruit hop aroma.
We take inspiration from the rich history of Knysna and its surrounds: The No. 17 refers to the nugget of gold that started the big rush back in 1876. James Hooper, a Knysna prospector, found a gold nugget weighing ‘17 penny-weight’ in a river bed on his farm Ruigtevlei.
Nowadays you needn’t head up into to the hills to discover pure gold. Here at Red Bridge Brewing Co. we craft exactly that – a refreshing and all-natural Golden Ale, rich in character and flavour.
This beer is best enjoyed at 8 - 10°c.
Refrigerate in an upright position.
Pour slowly to retain any sediment in the bottle.
Use a Bavarian shaped glass.
And remember to help keep Knysna beautiful. Please recycle.
